I loved it!!

I think Carrie should record this. It's time for this song to have another life.
It's such a great song.

She's got a voice. She's pretty. I dont know much about her but I've seen her video's at gay bars and it seems like the girl has her **** together.
NOT crazy about the outfit. The white fill at the bottom bothered me. Why not just have it be Black ("all black")?
Two thumbs up,though, for playing the guitar!!!

Lindsey, as usual, was fabulous. I love this man.
He sounded good, looked good. I wish he were on tour right now. Love. him.

OK. Thats my two cents...

As for the performance... it wasn't bad, but you could tell they were both there because they had to be, not by choice.
It didn't appear edited to me. He played his bit, then started in on the ending riff, and she just kept on singing.

I dunno. It could have been, but I didn't see any blatantly obvious editing.

I only watched it once this morning, and I'm at work now so I can't check, but it sounded to me like they just cut into Lindsey's solo at one point to make it seem like that was how it was supposed to be and then let her sing the last part. It sounded really weird.

Btw, what the heck was she playing on that guitar? Was that thing even on?

lol, i have no idea. judging by the capo, i'm guessing she was intending to play the rhythm part... the 11th hour acoustic strumming in the original version. there was one little part where i thought she might actually be kind of playing a little.. and lindsey was right there with her and was like "yeahhh" or something like that to her.

but i dont think she really did the rhythm parts through the song... i think there was a backup guy back there.

I really enjoyed this preformance, I'm sorry I doubted him even for a minute!

I was happy to see that he did not opt for the glittery pants as did 90% of all the other males on the show. During one commercial break they announced him as 'a special surprise guest', I said to my mom 'youre damn right hes special'

The only other preformance I can even say I liked was the Usher/Mary J Blige one. I thought they did an amazing job.

I turned the station right after Lindsey was on. Hes the only reason I even bothered.

My thoughts on Maroon 5? their second song was MILES better than 'Wake Up Call'

But Carrie/Lindsey-AMAZING!
Im surprised she knew how to play guitar

Lindseys solos were perfection, as per usual, and Now Im even MORE anxious for the DVD release!!!

MacMan already posted it. What would we do without him?

MacMan's a legend, but this performance is not. At least it was better than the one with Little Big Town (which doesn't mean much but anyway).

I guess you're right, he starts and ends the solo almost immediately. not much of a second solo. well at least the song was spunky in pace.

Thanks for uploading MacMan!!!!

Thks Spynote and Macfan !
I must say that i don't really care for her singing. I had never heard from her before and i won't be sad if i never hear from her again.
I did record the "belgian snippet" which is about 2 minutes long altogether , but i have no idea as to how to upload it. Any internet whizz out there to help me out? It's a video_ts file btw so Youtube does not accept that format.

I liked it. but, I love Carrie Underwood so that helps. it didn't blow me away, but it was good. my only complaint is that if there was ever a time to not pull out the guitar and show the world you just started taking guitar lessons, it's on national television next to one of the most recognized and greatest guitarists of all time.

maybe that's why they edited his solo out. I'm sure now and I frigging hate that!

I wasn't crazy about Carrie's performance, but she held her own...when Linds came out it was great, he looked all tanned and rested and segued (sp?) right into the performance flawlessly. His voice was strong and his guitar was reserved, which was cute... because it was mainly a "Carrie performance" and he didn't want to overshadow her with his guitar. I thought that was really selfless of him...even though it was most likely rehearsed that way, it still was cute of him to do that. I like that he pushed his voice into a higher octive than usual when the "you can go your own way's" were belted out (to echo what someone else has already said). I loved the perf, but then Linds could perform with William Shatner and I would still love it
