I was on a 2 week vacation last November to Spain Portugal and Morocco.

One of my friends just posted this candid of me on facebook. I feel it explains everything you might need to know. I wish I could post the next picture in the series of ~teh boy~ looking completely apathetic across from me haha, but that might cross the line of creepy into realms even I'm not comfortable with.

You absolutely do! What's your opinion on whether Sauron is truly evil or simply a Lenin-esque revolutionary? My friend trying to justify the latter is what I was laughing at, but he definitely does make a convincing argument.

Oh, Sauron was definitely evil. He betrayed the Elves and then used their knowledg to create the One Ring. If he would have come to full power, my beloved Rivendell and Lothlorien would have be destroyed. Maybe even Valinor itself would be no more. Yep. EVIL.

Yeah, I think the destruction his reign would have wrought is the tipping point. The argument that I heard, though, set up the elves as a sort of noble class intent on withholding resources and knowledge from the lower classes (orcs, etc) to propagate an unfair social system. It was actually kind of fascinating. But my friend is a really good bull****ter.

Oh, I'm all about being in the noble upper class with the Elves. Some of the more interesting and intelligent Hobbits could come along.
