i'm doing well -- very busy all of the time. i often work from 5am until 11pm and my schedule varies day by day so it's hectic. i actually just recorded my first jingle that aired in philadelphia for two weeks

so you've finally tired of good old atlanta, eh? does that mean you'll be making moves??

me...

Now, I just need 35 million and some extra dough to decorate the 12,000 sq. ft. and provide for the staff!

I hear the Olsen Twins are flipping their bachelorette pad in the West Village. It's a bargain at only $12million.

EXACTLY - though the W. Village is a little off my path

Personally, if I had the funds, I'd have loved to have lived in 15 CPW (www.15cpw.com) apt. 38 A perhaps. Sadly for me, the building sold out a few weeks after the offering and, essentially, prior to any significant building.

Well, you can rule uptown, I will rule downtown. 15 CPW was so incredibly expensive, even by NYC standards- something like $5,000 per square foot. No thanks! And contrary to popular opinion, there is a terrible real estate bubble in the city that is continuing to get bigger and bigger, despite what is happening everywhere else around the country. Just park your shekels in Euros and rent until it all blows over. Right now renting a standard 1 bedroom apartment for $3500/month is a bargain compared to shelling out over a million to buy a poorly built glass condo. Plus you have another $1000/month to pay in condo fees and taxes...

The taxes and fees will be more than the rent LOL.

Actually, I saw a few pretty cool places (1BR) on the UWS for $2,000 - $2,300 - most had elevators and some had laundry - though none were luxurious by any standard, much less mine .

But, yes, NYC's real estate bubble will burst soom IMO. Having said that, I think that while the percentage drop will hurt, if you bought three or so years ago, you will, for the most part, still make money if you sell it.

Oh, hon', please... leave your standards behind in Atlanta! Manhattan- the only place in America where wealthy people live in sub-poverty conditions. And that is no exaggeration! If your place is full of roaches and mice, you pretty much have to deal with it because a) it's very hard and very expensive to find another place; b) the landlord has no incentive to fix it since there are 1000 other people willing to take your place; and c) if they do remedy the situation, they will jack up your rent 50% and brand you a "problem tenant." $3,500 for a 1 bedroom apartment is just your standard 600 square-foot shoebox in Murray Hill with a lobby attendant and formica countertops; it's not the Plaza Hotel. And if you have a car, that's another $450/month to park it. I swear it sometimes makes me crazy to see the quality of life you find in other cities; it really makes me wonder...

Nice! Your pic kinda/sorta reminds me of the cover of the 'Cry Like a Rainstorm, Howl Like the Wind' album- which is cool because I love me some Linda Ronstadt.

Jeez you're annoying. Go curl up in the little shell you live in and don't come back until you've grown up.

Yeah I left ATL in 2001. My brother has been living there since 1999 and he's finally moving. I believe he's moving to Portland, Oregon. What a leap, eh?
