^^^ I agree, it's a flower, probably a rose. If you can't see it, the trick is to realise that the stem is slightly arched and is casting its shadow on the floor of the stage.

It still looks like a carrot with a fluffy top. And it drives me crazy that there are one and a half legs on this thing. Just get rid of it. It's driving me bonkers.
