Heroes is certainly the dark horse of the1971-1974 era. The band was pretty burned out by then -- from constantly changing line-ups and dewinderling finanances. Still, they managed to irk out a decent album.
I actually like the cover, sans Mick's rib cage. It looks like a style precurser to the Fleetwood Mac/Rumours albums. "Prove Your Love" is one of my favorites -- a great overlooked song from Christine. I recall an interview many years ago, when Christine was asked if she had any songs she wished she could re-record. She mentioned "Prove Your Love." She specifically noted that she could have sung it better and it wasn't recorded properly.

Heroes is actually in my top five FM albums. At first I was not to sure about it but it slowly grew on me. I consider it a pre-cursor to Tusk. Musically it is the most varied of any Fleetwood Mac album in my opion. The styles on this album are all over the place. A proper remastering and bonus tracks would be very nice!!!!

I also think this is a really good album. Especially love Christine's songs (surprise!). As someone else mentioned, her and Bob's songs did make for a great combination on all their albums together.
