The song makes me happy. Not sure why they had Lindsey take the lead on it, but it's a great Nicks song.

I always thought they had Lindsey take lead on it to balance out Side 2, otherwise he'd only have a strong presence on The Chain.

Dreams
Gold Dust Woman
The Chain
Silver Springs
Second Hand News

You Make Loving Fun makes the list if Silver Springs doesn't count...

@Artemis: It is all just a matter of personal opinion with SP.

I count it since it was intended for inclusion on Rumours. But that is just how I feel regarding it.

I love Silver Springs and glad it was left off the album. I think it got more attention that way. And I love, "I Don't Want to Know" It's perfect after You Make Lovin Fun and before Oh Daddy.

I did have a cassette tape that had Rumours lead off with IDWK and SHN was after YMLF.

With the way you put it, it makes perfect sense. Maybe leaving it off was for the better.

Side note: I wish Sleeping Angel was included on BD. I bought the Fast Times at Ridgemont High soundtrack just so I could have it. And I also got the Enchanted box set, but a few years back when I was moving into a new house, I lost it.

Default Rumour5

Second Hand News
Go Your Own Way
The Chain
Songbird
Gold Dust Woman

If Silver Spring was on the record and counts for this list, then it replaces Songbird.

Looks like The Chain is coming up a lot, and Gold Dust Woman. Dreams, Go Your Own Way, You Make Loving Fun, and Second Hand News also doing well.

Hard to select a top 5 from such an iconic record, but here it goes:

Silver Springs (including it as it made its debut on more recent pressings so it counts )
Go Your Own Way
You Make Loving Fun
Dreams
The Chain

Bubbling Under: I Don't Want to Know

You Make Loving Fun is the best song on Rumours. As well as one of the band's overall best songs.

Dreams is up there and Gold Dust Woman is up there too.

All the instruments are perfect, the drums, guitar, bass, electric organ, Christine's lyrics are simple and to the point. Lindsey and Stevie's back up vocals are great. It's just a very nicely crafted song.

It is, but I've always thought it would have given its best live.
