My favorite live version of "Believe Me" is this Midnight Special version, largely because of Bob Weston's guitar into. My second favorite is 1974 Sausalito with Bob Welch. I also like the 1977 Rumours line-up live versions, just not as much as the others.
I'm in agreement with MacFan57 here. I've seen the fantastic 73 Midnight special footage (love the big "Fleetwood Mac" letter backdrop!) and think it's excellent. She sounds great, and the band is tight. But I think the 74 Sausalito version is even better. Her voice is flawless, and Bob Welch's guitar is suprisingly tougher than Weston's, less country, more driving. I also enjoy Doug Graves's organ work on the 74 show. It's flashier than most Mac fare, but it works quite well.

The 77 Believe Me is enjoyable but not as interesting to me as the previous two performances.

It's not Doug Graves on that, but Bobby Hunt, Welch's old bandmate in the Seven Souls.

The only recordings of Doug Graves with Fleetwood Mac is the Don Kirshner's Rock Concert TV show footage.

And, Hempstead & Chicago, although the Chicago boot is of terrible quality. Hempstead is fantastic!

It brought a touch of Steppenwolf to Fleetwood Mac's shores!

I'll give you the Chicago show...the quality is so bad that it is difficult to even label it a "recording"...it is some sort of "sound anomaly that vaguely sounds like 1974 era Fleetwood Mac".

Are you 100% SURE he's on Hempstead? The Kirshner show is the only time I saw Doug Graves with the band...when I saw them at one of the last two (if not THE last) shows of the tour, Bobby Hunt was with them, no Doug.

Yes. I just checked the CD to be sure. At the very end, the announcer introduces the band & he mentions Doug Graves on keyboards.
