I found that out that a while back. It certainly shocked me as well. He's never been a person that I thought would end up being a born-again Christan. Go figure.

And I agree on that point, but for some reason I've always thought he was left-wing. And then I discovered he was not AND that he's a Born Again Christian. Too many strange informations all at once.

This thread jogged a memory I'd almost forgotten ... It was 1991, I was 16 and I travelled with friends to London to watch a band called the Young Disciples at Brixton academy. This was my first experience of London nightlife (I moved there 2 years later), very exciting....

My very first live concert was in high school, our PE teacher organized up and coming bands to play every Friday at lunchtime. 50c per ticket.. The first band i saw was ACDC with Bon Scott .. My first real concert was Fleetwood Mac, Rockarena in the summer of 1977, row 1 in front of LB

I have not been to many concerts, because I live in the country and hate traveling.
This is going to sound crazy. My first concert was a Marlene Dietrich impersonator - Jeanne Little. Yes that's right darlings! And she was actually quite good. Her speaking voice was just sandpaper. But she did a good Dietrich - was surprised she could sing quite well. And then my mother and I went to see Foster and Allen, the Irish folk duo. I think I was perhaps the youngest person there but all in all, it was a fun evening. I enjoyed it too. Then I went to see Fleetwood Mac. Then I think Robbie Williams. Yes I know - he can be very obnoxious, but it was a great night with great atmosphere. It was strange, it was as if I had a lingering 'buzz' from that concert for a few months after. He had the huge crowd eating out of his hand. And then I saw FM again last year. I actually don't know if I'll be going to more in the future. I'm a bit interested in Pink. If Stevie does another solo tour, I might be swayed. |

No one has ever come close to that concert's excitement. It was quite unique. What's a bit odd is that tonight is also the anniversary of the last time I saw Elvis. It too was on June 2, but in 1977. Just 2 1/2 months until he died. I was one sad little boy. |

Rush, 1980, Winnipeg Arena. My friend and I went while in high school. We thought we were all that, and a bit more.

Lana Del Rey, Manchester Apollo. I wanna say 2013. None of my friends like the music I do, so chances to go to concerts are limited
Lana was AMAZING though.
