The stations that continue to play Fleetwood Mac are classic rock and adlut contemporary.Since many classic rock stations don't play new songs even by classic rock artists the best bet would probably be to try and score on the adult play lists.Top 40 is very hard for any classic rock artist to break into today.TISL is full of songs that 20 years ago could have been big top 40 hits. The last big top 40 singles bonanza that F.M. enjoyed was the 4 top 20 hits they scored off "Tango in the Night' which also spawned big hits internationally and which incidentally was the last Mac studio lp helmed by Lindsey.Barring a fluke it is doubtful that Fleetwood Mac could have top 40 pop hits again given the current radio climate but this does not mean that they cannot get respectable cd sales I'm hoping for at leaat platinum here in the U.S.

Rock the Night Away!!!
Well...now I Got the Fever...Come is sweet but a Rocker to me is...
Gift of Screws!!! It Rocks...as does Miranda/ Morrow!!! Down on Rodeo could be a sweet video about the B/N Record that "stiffed" and they walk up and down Rodeo peering in the windows in their old raggedy clothes! Stevie and Lindsey are very thin and ill...etc... Works for me!!! I think DOR is about...Wishing for Success! sky

Thank you Robert and Skylark
Wow! Robert and Skylark, excellent thoughtful posts. Well done.
Who knows where this will all end up? The comforting thought is that these four musicians can compete on any contemporary stage. BTW, Skylark I endorse all your choices. The more I listen to Miranda, Morrow and DOR the more respect I gain for the range of LB's music. This is all beautiful stuff. I just think something like Come would jar people and make them take notice of FM in a new and quite respectful way. Thanks again for the great posts. |

I agree!
I think Come should be the first single and "I" want to design the cover for the CD single!! Oh, what THAT lends to the imagination!! witchywoman

Come sounds great
Well i agree That Come would make a good opener for the new album. But i don't think it wil alianate older fans cause it's fresh but it is still so Lindsey.
I think whatever they release that if (as many on this thread have already pointed out) radio doesn't play it it doesn't have a chance Hope gift of screws also makes the cut it rocks !!! That can be a single too if it's up to me. And if we go for a ballad after all i'd go for she smiled Sweetly!! Although this is based on material i have already heard , i haven't heard any new stevie songs yet !!!
