Any mention of Lindsey's work in the media is a positive for me.

BTW - teeny tiny mention in The Buffalo News this week - our music critic picked "Castaway Dreams" as one of his top 5 downloads of the year. Kind of random, but I was happliy surprise to see it mentioned.

I love the Chili Peppers' album, but #2 does seem a bit high.

The Raconteurs definitely should be in at least the top 10!

This list is like the absolute worst piece of crap I've ever seen. But Rolling Stone is really good at bringing the lame and unoriginal, so I'm not surprised.

Honestly you should have seen Q Magazine's list. Now that really deserves the title of worst piece of crap ever.

As for the Chili Peppers. I used to like them, but that album is funk-metal by numbers and Anthony Kiedis is easily becoming one of the least inspired and most annoying vocalists in rock. I still think John Frusciante is a kick-ass guitarist though.

I love sean lennon and its great that he's getting recognition now even though his first album was better

I actually think "Friendly Fire" is the better album. It's more cohesive, the words are deeper, and he seems to be in a more emotional state this time around, which is no doubt a result of the circumstances that inspired the songs. I think the first album is just a young kid getting geared up. There is some amazing stuff on there, and the kid happens to be John Lennon's son, but I think he has matured a lot and I enjoy him the most at his current state. Favorite songs: Dead Meat, Headlights, Would I Be the One, Friendly Fire, Parachute, and Wait For Me.

I totally like the DVD/movie idea!! That was incredibly creative and extremely well orchestrated. Plus, it's just good stuff to watch. Daddy would be proud.

I have a friend with absolutely brilliant taste in music, and she turned me on to the Sean Lennon album the other day. I really dig the whole thing, it's great. Sean has a musical heritage and influence without peer, and he has done some very interesting things with it. The fact that both that and UTS was on there validates the list to some extent, but the music industry thrives on payola, so you have to take these arbitrary lists with a grain of salt (where is Donald Fagen's "Morph the Cat"??). It is fun to see what other people think is the best of whatever, you never know what you might be missing!

ask for a listen to his first album. some of it is just good background music but some is much more than that. he's a big fan of brian wilson and you can hear the influence in the song queue which is my favourite.
