I'm 99% sure you have the version from the OotC Tour, live at San Juan, Capistrano, CA, December 1992.

I'll get the version you sent to Christy just to be sure, but I'm quite certain.

It's not Japanese........he's obviously forgotten the lines so he just sings gibberish in tune with the song...!

That was the show Christy said it was from. I didn't think it was Japanese, but I figured I would just continue with the previous mode of describing what it sounded like. Thank you though for the more precise information.

it was very cool to hear "Eyes of the Word" live on the SYW tour... I love this song and especially the mirage live version with christine and lindsey... and to hear it live was incredible... I was singing the "ohh ohhh ohhh" parts at the beginning and middle haha... great song...

It was familiar - I think Neil posted it a few months back.

Cool Forgetful....

Yeah, I popped in the San Juan Capistrano AND New Britain show and on BOTH, he goes "Aba daba deeba daba...etc.." for the second verse...he just forgets the words is all. LOL

That's just the "Lindsey way" of singing when he forgets.

I love the Canon thing he and Christine do....cute, then, when LB kinda yells but kinda doesn't..."YEAH!" LOL I didn't recognize the song in Dallas at first, but then, it hit finally hit me and I turned to seteca and went "Eyes of the World!!!"
I LOVE his Mirage songs too! Book Of Love?! Are you kidding?! I actually don't hate Empire State as much as I let on, but it is definitely my least-liked Lindsey song (and the pain of not understanding why it was on the album instead of Goodbye Angel). Anyway...Eyes Of The World IS a masterpiece in all its forms. I DID think my head was going to pop off during it at my shows this year, and the '82 vocal interactions with Christine KILL ME! Why do some people rank on the lyrics so much?! I think they're great! Simple does not have to mean lousy or lazy!

That sounds like an argument between Carne and Johnny Stew. I agree tho...simple lyrics do NOT mean lousy or lazy. I like to write poetry and I'm sure if some of you read them, you'd be all "Okay, was this written by a 5 year old?" because they aren't full of complicated words and stuff. It's just what's in your heart that you try to convey the best you know how at that particular moment.
