I feel that whatever spark inspired her to put out Meantime will give us something else from her, even if it's just an appearance on someone else's album.

Hey, if she never records again with the Mac (and I don't believe that that will never happen), if Dan Perfect or her half-brother ever do any projects of their own, I'm sure she would participate. After all, she said she does continue to practice the piano and I think she could even pull off a classical performance still, if asked by her brother.

And with Mick working with Jeremy Spencer recently, I can't believe he wouldn't go out of his way to slide Chris into some of his solo work, just one last time, if we don't see her anywhere else.

An award certificate is nice from BMI, I'm sure... but it's really the fat check from BMI that matters. Just sayin'.

I don't think Chris will get any more money for this song. Didn't she sell her music publishing rights in the 1980's for One hundred and fifty million dollars?

She sold some of her rights but I thought it was in the nineties (I might be wrong)

One hundred and fifty million dollars? that seems a lot. No wonder she doesn't need to work again!

150 million?

Where did you hear that number? I believe she sold her partial publishing rights just after she retired from touring back in the early 1990's, after the BTM tour. I doubt that she sold her entire catalogue, especially her Rumours songs. They're priceless. Rumours will sell forever.

NO Viv, there are many who love Christine. Me included. I just dont think she ever got (or even wanted) the limelight. She is one of my all time favs and Song Bird and Warm Ways just kill me evertime they are played.

She's a true talent in her own right.

You're most likely right about it being in the 1990's. Somewhere in my collection I have a pic of Chris from Billboard magazine signing away her publishing and the monetary figure was listed.

I don't know how much Chris may have sold publishing rights for, but I guess anything was better than the 1 shilling per song deal she and Bob made with Clive Davis.

All I remember reading about was when Martin Wyatt became her music publisher and I think they were going to publish other people's music together as well.

The next BMI Gold Badge Awards is this Wednesday.
