![]() SN - Of course her voice is not the same as in the Rumours to Mirage days, but she (in general) is far better than in the late 80s and early 90s. I did enjoy her performance in the 1997 and 2009 tours. Obviously it's because she is clean now. Good!
LB - I liked his voice before, but again, his performance during the unleashed tour was great. He really rocked. CM - She is retired so who knows. I still miss her John - Well in the Mirage concert video he played solo or combined with Mick, I have not seen that anymore. Mick- I missed his solo with the body percussion device.

![]() You really missed the SAD "Vesturbation"?
That bit, was SOOOOO 1990. Thank god it finally died. Totally not befitting a legacy... |

![]() Lots of the past FM members are still brilliant, still producing great records and doing some of the best work of their career.
Then there are the five that this thread relates to... ![]()

![]() Stevie has definitely taken to singing in a lower register. I have never been sure which vocal period I like the best for her. Sometimes I really enjoy the higher '70s sound. At other times, it seems weird because it's almost like listening to a different person.
Lindsey's guitar playing gets better and better. His lyric writing has improved Immensely! Vocally, I liked him best between 1979 and 1984. Before that, I felt he was somewhat vocally too high. His voice seemed to change again around the time he did 'Time Bomb Town'. Christine sounded great on In the Meantime. I don't notice a lot of difference with John, but that is probably because I don't know what to listen for. I agree that Mick's drumming is not as powerful, but that's okay.

![]() I have to agree, as much as I can't stand SYW. I think John is amazing on it.

![]() My Opinions
Mick Fleetwood: Awesome Dummer!! Stevie Nicks- Very good Song writer, but I do agree her voice is gone, needs to bring back some old songs! VERY GOOD TAMBOURINE PLAYER! Lindsey Buckingham- Very good Guitar player, Good Singer, Kind of has an attitude and very bad temper at times! Christine Mcvie- I miss her, her vocals were good, very good key board player John Mcvie- Very Good bass player!!

![]() Stevie Nicks: Her voice is pretty much shot. I think plenty of us can agree with that. I used to like her work. But maybe I listened to her too much. Her latest offering of In Your Dreams was anything but. I might have been alone in being completely and utterly disappointed in it. It's a shame because Stevie is the reason I fell for Fleetwood Mac in the first place.
Lindsey Buckingham: After two lack luster offerings in the shape of Gift Of Screws and Under The Skin, Lindsey came back with a vengeance with Seeds We Sow. Though arguably over produced, there's no denying that his voice and guitar work were on top form. Christine McVie: All I have to go on in recent years is In The Meantime. I wasn't impressed. Although I can't deny that in her time she had a wonderful voice, she never shone for me. Her songs were far too sickly, honied and overly sentimental for my tastes. But she gave the world Songbird. For that alone she stands amongst the greatest of song writers. Mick Fleetwood: When I got to see the Mac for the first time for their Unleashed tour, Mick Fleetwood was a beast. The energy he emitted was electric, only matched by Lindsey's toddler like "ball of energy" show. John McVie: As with above, my last experience of Mick Fleetwood was the Unleashed tour. I wasn't disappointed by the melodic undertones provided by his base. I'm not going to pretend to know anybody about the technicalities of the base guitar and performer alike, but he is still very able to cope with providing the soul of the music. |

![]() I will only concede UTS and its stone's throw from the grave vocals. Of course, I don't think UTS is excrement by any means, but if we're throwing one to the wolves . . .
