http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/i...don_wainw.html Welcome to the Southeast Portland entertainment guide, where normally we would urge you head to the Aladdin Theater tonight to see Lindsey Buckingham. But that show is sold out. So you’ll have to settle for a BoDeans show on Tuesday and Loudon Wainwright III on Wednesday. Check out those shows and you won’t feel so bad about missing what’s-his-name. |

^ Saw that day of show... thought it was funny. But IMO, seems they are raving about LB, then semi-dissing him saying "whatshisname." Bi-polar Oregon for ya.

[Guy not a fan of the new song, from his blog post about romance. Click on the article. He looks like Freddie Prinze, Jr., speaking of which, Joss now that you have so much power in Hollywood, please I need Buffy/Angel redux and I need it baaad]
http://www.jewishjournal.com/some_re...ance_20120523/ by Elliot Steingart, Jewish Journal, May 23, 2012 I enjoy taking her places that will impress her like taking her out to see Lindsay Buckingham at the Wiltern. We drank John Jamesons, our favorite whiskey, and waited for Lindsay to play his hits like “Not That Funny” and “Tusk.” Instead he played his new song “Poor Little Raven.” The crowd was enchanted while we whispered in each other’s ears about how poor we felt for listening to “The Raven.” We left our seats and snuck down to the floor level where we were an arm grab away from the Raven himself. After the show we stumbled into a Korean Karaoke bar where we rented a room and sang for as long as Lindsay played singing drunken duets of Death Cab for Cutie’s “I’ll Follow you into the Dark” and “Can’t Stop” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. |

I was hoping he would add another OH date. I'm not going to be able to make it to Columbus. C'mon Lindsey, play the Palace again!

Lindsey Buckingham
Mon Jun 4 B.B. King Blues Club & Grill 237 W 42nd St, New York Concerts Classic rock, Pop, Rock & roll Critics' pick Lindsey Buckingham Photograph: Jeremy Cowart Time Out says Fri May 25 2012 Lindsey Buckingham does too many things too well for one of his talents not to go overlooked. Millions know him as the singer-songwriter of the Fleetwood Mac smash “Go Your Own Way,” and fans credit him as the driving force behind the band’s fractured epic, Tusk. But one thing you don’t hear much about is Buckingham’s guitar-heroism—a shame, since the man’s pickless playing is straight-up deadly. For proof, hit YouTube to watch an Afroed, bell-bottoms- clad Lindsey tearing through an exploding-sun solo on a 1976 live version of his darkly mesmerizing signature star turn, “I’m So Afraid.” http://www.timeout.com/newyork/music...ll-june-4-2012 |
