A DVD as well as the CD? Excellenté!
I'm glad that Walfredo is involved because he's by far my favourite drummer/percussionist Lindsey has worked with on his solo stuff. He's got such a great groove. An an autumn tour is something I might be able to go to as well. I'm getting funding for my Masters this year and have funding for a PhD after that so I can actually afford a trip! I just hope it's not right when I have to be finishing my dissertation... |

I feel like a bad fan, I don't have any of LB's (or SN's for that matter) DVDs, just the FM ones. I've heard of Bass Performance Hall and his Soundstage DVD. Which is the generally preferred one around here? Interested in picking one up.

(That bonus dvd of Lindsey's "documentary" is like some family home videos with shots of grass and hills, LB music in the background, random people walking around Beverly Hills and some, uh, creative "poetic" soliloquies by Lindsey. It's great to see maybe once or twice -or 5 max if you're in the screencap-making mode-but I wouldn't hang Lindsey's reputation as a documentary film maker over it).

Definitely! I love all of his live performances because he has so much fun and gets really involved with the music and audience.
Bahahaha! Of course! along with photographic evidence of the process, of course lol! |

Thanks for the info, y'all. Just ordered Soundstage, but I can see myself getting Bass Hall pretty soon as well.
I noticed Red Rover's in the setlist on Soundstage, that's unexpected but awesome! Probably my favorite LB song from SYW. |

I would have recommended Bass Hall for the obvs reason that it comes with a CD. Plus I think it works better as a concert. The songs have more oomph and originality (Soundstage sounded too much like the record versions)

separate CD and DVD or CD/DVD combo, all good! kinda like UTS/Bass is almost a CD/DVD combo of one album. plus this time around DVD seems to be professionally made, so no half baked "deep" thoughts and awkward "artsy" shots like some of Bass extra material. and DVD material can serve as instant videos.
i'm also happy to finally have the tour time frame. can go and make my summer plans in peace now, without worry i'll be out of the country and miss lindsey tour. |
