As crazy as it is, I see this as a refreshing, deviant divergence from the overdone monotone black, dark black, blacker black, shiney black, and glittery black dresses she seems to live in all the time these days.

It's 2 photos spliced together, for some reason Stevie was into that concept in the early 80's (like the Wild Heart cover). Finger pointing was apparently also a thing.

Wasn't that photo sorta of a mock-up of what Stevie originally envisioned for the "Bella Donna" album cover. She then decided that it looked too heavy (the two figures, one standing and pointing, somewhat pejoratively at the kneeling more angelic image) and then afterwards she literally dreamt what would became the BD album image.
