Sorry guys, I love these suggestions.

I think Isis could be a great name. I can't wait to see this little thing again when I get back home!

She was born during my winter break I think- and I spent some time with my grandparents when they were only a week old- they are precious!

Ethan,
You suggested "Royalty" so I was thinking maybe Marylin (as in Monroe) or maybe Diana (for Princess) or maybe a cute one like Cleo (CleoPatra).

Good luck! They all seem to develop their own personalities regardless of name

Isis is a great name, but it is the Greek form of the Goddess' name, so I'd have to push for the Egyptian form Esat.

How about Bastet, the cat-headed Goddess?

Our own cat is called Nefernu - Nefer meaning "beautiful" and Nu (sort of) meaning "black".

If you want to keep it Royal, Nefertiti (Beautiful One Has Arrived) or Nefertari (Beautiful Companion) were Egyptian "Queens".

All right all- I wanted to thank all of you for your brilliant suggestions!!!

I thought I would announce that a couple of days ago we named our cat, shortly after I got home for Spring Break. And the name we chose was.........


Greta


The name means "a pearl" ANNNND of course, there is a fabulous Stevie song by that name!
