Did she even reach Billboard 200 with Sometimes...?

According to Wikipedia, the song reached #56 on Billboard singles chart and the top 20 in Canada and Australia.

FWIW, she said she didn’t want to record it or release a compilation, but the label pushed it on her.

I am in the minority but I live the Timespace Stevie. She was a rocker vixen bashing Mick at every turn and her band was incredible. Les blew the roof off. Granted the explosions during Edge of 17 were a little much but it was a rocking Stevie for sure. I also love Sometimes Its A Bitch and Love's a Hard Game To Play. Unfortunately those rocker's time had passed. Poison and Bon Jovi were huge in 1989. If you could put both those songs on OSOTM they would have been huge. Unfortunately the BTM tour got really delayed with Christine's father's passing and Mick kept extending dates which delayed the Timespace project. Sadly her album and Desert Angel came out AFTER the Gulf War. She toured before the album's release which hurt promotion. It was a very mixed up time and it was right before the lights went out completely. Her record company sort of forced this greatest hits package and to work with rockers who were not that trendy anymore. Bon Jovi resurrected Cher's music career in the late 80s.

It's not in the list of songs I love, but I do like SIAB. I listen to it from time to time while playing my Stevie playlist. I did exclude I can't wait from that playlist. I just don't like it.
By the way, this line is perfect for a «Weird Al» Yankovic video:

I saw both OSOTM and Whole Lotta Trouble Tour (Timespace) and I enjoyed the 1991 tour so much better. Even though she was deeper into her tranquilized self, her rocking band seemed to have picked up her energy level. Plus to finally get If Anyone Falls back into the setlist was wonderful. Also the first solo tour to play Lanslide. The only klonopin era song that was better than some other tours was Rhiannon. An electric version of Landslide was pretty cool too.
