one time in particular. I was eating at Shoney's late late at night and our waitress looked exhausted, but tried really hard to be sweet and do a good job. I saw one other waitress keep talking to her and yelling at her and stuff. she was really young. I figured out that it was the woman's daughter. I could just about see the tears in her eyes. I just couldn't imagine what all she was dealing with. so, on the bill, I wrote "stay strong" and left a $20 tip. I sat in my car when she picked it up and I saw her cover her mouth and gasp and then smile. that was one of the most priceless moments of my life. Kodakworthy.

and I love you

i was a waitress for about...6 months. the worst waitress ever on the face of the planet. But Murray's vet came in and ordered her a filet and her son chicken fingers. I think her tab was 25 bucks. she gave me a hundred dollar bill and only asked for 25 back I told her I couldnt' accept that, and she insisted. that was so sweet and i will never forget it

Yeah, I did it once. I think I was 16 or 17, and my boyfriend, his friend and I went to Pizza Hut. When we were done eating, the boys said they was going to pay the bill and go to the bathroom, and asked me to get the car. So I did. They never paid. I felt so ****ty.... I kinda figured out what they did when they ran out to the car yelling "GOGOGO!!!"

Funny you bring this up, but I did this yesterday - completely by accident. I was in a hurry and completely forgot the check on the table. I made my friend turn around so I could go pay it, though. I could never dine & dash.. waiting tables sucks hardcore as it is, and most places dock it from the waitstaff's pay, too. I have a soul.. kind of.

I put no, but i have walked out on bar tabs. Out of drunkenness. They always got paid later though, and nobody gave a damn cuz I make friends with the bartenders.

I did once by accident. Well, not really by accident. Long story short, I had a B1G1 dinner coupon (go figure ) for a new restaurant and the waitress said they would accept it for lunch. We placed our order & when the waitress brought out our food she said "btw, they decided that we can't take the coupon." I was pissed so I was like "f*ck this, we're outta here." I had no clue that the friend I was with had eaten a few fries and took a sip of her pop - so technically it was a dine & dash.

The owner took down my license plate # and the cops came to my house. I was still at work, but hubby was home. So he had to go & pay the tab for me. Karma's a bitch though - they were out of business within a couple of months.

For being cheap? Yeah, I won that prize long ago.

I was going to play, but I'm not usually around on weekends & it's been way too busy here at work today to try & search.
