I'm not as familiar with Christine's work as Stevie's.
But if I only read the words of that song, I believe I
could tell it was Stevie's.

Again, Welsh Witch Publishing.

Walking In The Shadows

I know you're a lonely man and I love you
Someone else is waiting and she owns you
If she should ever wake up, be sure your story is straight love

If you talk in your sleep don't mention my name
If you walk in your sleep, forget where you came

Walking every night here in the shadows
So afraid that sometimes you may follow
There's always a chance she'll find us
So I don't need to remind you...

If you talk in your sleep don't mention my name
If you walk in your sleep, forget where you came

Love is so much sweeter when it's borrowed
I'll feel a little easier tomorrow
Don't give our secret away
Be careful of what you say

If you talk in your sleep don't mention my name
If you walk in your sleep, forget where you came

Forget where you came now
Don't mention my name

Forget where you came

Weird coincidence. Very similar to the Presley classic.

You have to wonder if Jerry Scheff had been playing
that during the Buckingham Nicks sessions. Elvis I
believe recorded that song in late '73. So it's quite
possible that Stevie heard an early version of it and
it influenced this new song.

It's all making sense now. But still I'd like to know
exactly when Stevie's version was written?

I'd put a disclaimer in the thread title letting people know it's not true.

It's designed solely to set people up in order to mock their responses. Why wait until they've read the first post and replied before you let them in on the "prank" (aka trolling).

It was clearly a post of the April Fools' variety. I should have made that clearer last night.

Aren't you overreacting a bit?

If the title mentioned that Stevie or whomever had passed away
you might have a point. Can't you read the lyrics and just imagine
that it just might be Stevie's (Fleetwood Mac's) new song?

If you choose not to believe that's their new song, that's fine.
But don't ruin it for everyone that likes the story. What did
Jack Nicholson say...this forum* needs and enema.

Read on those who are interested in the Elvis/Buckingham Nicks
era. Interesting how that encounter came about. And now 40
years later a song possibly tied to them makes it way onto the
new album. It's not a lie if you believe it's true.

The fact that it's not true ruins it for everyone who likes the story. So, there shouldn't be any more posts like this.

On April 1, other people may do a couple of fake posts. Last year I believe we got a post saying that Christine had rejoined the band for April Fool's. Now, how outrageous can you be??

Default John McVie in the studio?

tweet from Ken Caillat few hrs ago:

Making Rumours Book ‏@Rumours_Book 5h
Ran into @johnmcvie yesterday! He looked great & said it was really nice to have @christinemcvie 's energy back in the group #fleetwoodmac

now we know Ken has his own studio in Village Recorder... can it be that's where he ran into John and that the rest of the Mac is still working there?

if Ken is reading this maybe he can tell us where he ran into John?
