Hmmm. I thought that only want to #2. What's weird about looking at the charts from that era is that there were songs that were more popular on MTV than on radio. For example, "If She Knew What She Wants" only went to #29, while "Walking Down Your Streets" went to #11, but the former always seemed to be much more popular.

Not to mention "Second Hand News" (although the Sweet-Hoffs version featured Lindsey on guitar).

What I'd like to see is a "Monday" encore set:
Monday Morning
Manic Monday
Monday Monday (another Sweet-Hoffs cover)

Not that this is relevant to the Stevie/FM thread, but "If She Knew What She Wants" was a jam and my fave Bangles single. Carry on.

I love The Bangles and Manic Monday "Walk Like an Egyptian" and other tunes.I just love the 1980's.

I dont know what the future holds for our favorite band .I dont have a crystal ball that works anymore.LOL.I never got them updated.

I doubt the band will dump Stevie or she sings my favorite Johnny Paycheck tune"Take This Job And Shove It" to Mick and the band this late in the game.

Don't kill me guys .LOL .I like to see Sheryl Crow do a stint with them as rumoured years ago.She could add some country twang to the band and appear on the Grand Ole Opry like Charlie Daniels Band on tonight's show.

BTW Charlie still sounds great and his band was on fire on tonight's show.

No, Stevie doesn't decide the band's fate. The other four could easily continue without her if they would so choose.
They sure could. You would hope she smartens up, but I agree they certainly could. And the music would most definitely be top notch.

Well they had an album with no Lindsey, it went Gold. They had an album with no Chris, it went Gold. They could probably do an album with no Stevie and it could go Gold.

I just don't see it happening. I think there'll be an album with all five of them, but on Stevie's timeline (ie, after she re-releases 24KG with additional tracks and tours to promote it).

It's relevant to me! I love the Bangles, and that song -- a classic! Susanna Hoffs is very cool. Her cover albums with Matthew Sweet are wonderful.

OK, now back to the velvet underground, and the gypsies that we love.

Yea.She's more into country now which is great.

I would love to see FM on country radio with her and beat the crap out of these young so called country artists off the charts.

Since Stevie's and the Mac's rock tunes are in the same boat as Sheryl's .Maybe they should of tried it years ago.

They did. It was called "Time."

And, really, the factors that Stevie warned her about are still there, and would probably be amplified if the band didn't have to deal with Stevie's solo career anymore.

Yes but it did not get anywhere then .With Bekka It probably get some airplay on todays country radio.

Oops. I forgot radio is discriminated over older artists or bands unless they pair up with a current artist.

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett come to mind.

I agree.....I think Sheryl would be a MUCH better fit than Susanna....should it come to that......which I don't think it will.

Except she's never been in a band AND the issues that prevented her from joining in 2009 still exist. Being in a band, especially one like Fleetwood Mac, is very different from being a solo artist. There are challenges and compromises that she's never had to deal with.

Why does it have to be a girl??? For years CM was the only one. Why not bring in another male guitar player? Could ask Peter Frampton if he wants to tour with them. He has been in a band before and has a bunch of songs that would fit the FM set list or how about Joe Walsh? He's been in big bands and had his share of solo hits not to mention it would add to the whole dysfunctional FM thing ( now there would be 3 ex boyfriends on stage) and after dealing with the Eagles do you think any FM soap opera would phase him? LB might enjoy having another guy to jam with on stage. Peter or Joe would give LB a run for the money.
