And am I the only person here who goes years without going to any concerts?

Let's see...my last one was Cher in 2002 on her "Farewell" tour.

But I will try to see Stevie if she comes to New Orleans this summer. Especially if it's minus Henley!

I've hardly been to any concerts, evah. They've mostly been Mac or Stevie. However, I've heard LOTS of live bands that play in bars.... I just don't really have the money, and when i did, I didn't think of going to concerts. I've been Macobsessed for so long, that it didn't occur to me. Now, however, I'd like to go to more.

Thankyou

It passed by quite uneventfully around here, which is how I like it!

I'm glad I'm not alone. I don't really have the money myself and I also don't have a car, which makes things harder! Also, if I had a car and money and actually liked to travel I would go to more, since no one ever comes to Louisiana and I'd have to travel to see some real performers.

[/end totally self-absorbed and useless rant]

Same here. Mostly Mac and a few country artists. We didn't get too many performers in Southern IL.

We are fortunate in the UK that we have a lot of big artists and most top U.S. artists tour here too.. Plus the small size of the country means it's great for getting to gigs..

In July we have Queen with Paul Rodgers and REM playing Hyde Park in London on consecutive nights which will be cool..

Dillinger Escape Plan plays here quite a bit. That's always worth seeing.

For sure I'm going to Live Aid II...

Scheduled for 2nd July in Hyde Park, London...

Nothing is official yet but the Prince's Trust gigs have been cancelled without explanation, the Stones and McCartney are rumoured to have agreed to play and Geldof has been seen at the BBC fuelling reports he's discussing broadcasting rights....

It really looks like it's going to happen. Bob G wants the situation in Africa brought to the world's attention once more..

OMG. My friend just bought me & our other friend (belated birthday gifts) tix to see Neil Diamond in August!

I love me some Diamond! I wasn't going to go since I'm pretty tapped out with the other concerts I'm going to, so it was a great surprise.

I am going to see this summer...

Joan Osborne
Judas Priest/Queensryche (so funny !)
Heart
Trisha Yearwood (if the date is confirmed)
Stones - if they announce an LA date

Doubtful, extremely, that I will see the Stevie/Don thing. No West coast dates yet, and if they do come to this area, I will not pay for it. I'd go with comps though - and show up late !

I wasn't sure if I was going to Stevie/Don but my Dad wants to go so we are going. I've never been to a concert with him before. Good times.
