Welch had some fantastic lyrics and atmospheres. He also talked them into moving to Los Angeles. That's HUGE. I love how Go Insane is thought of as dance music. But I see it.

"Bob Welch saved Fleetwood Mac" - Mick Fleetwood I little respect, indeed...

I do want to point out that despite what I myself may have made it sound like, I quite like a bit of Welch's work. However, I probably wouldn't even say he's in the top 5 as far as songwriters in Fleetwood Mac. I'd easily put Buckingham, McVie, Kirwan, Green and Nicks above him at the very least. Oh and also, it's been interesting to hear from Lindsey on the podcast and then from you on here that Lindsey is actually a Peter Green fan. I always figured he respected him as the founder of his group and for his role in music, but was never sure if he actually liked the music. Seems like he does. Quote:
About the new album, I'll admit the first song he released for it didn't excite me big time. It still might grow on me, but as of now it's not a favorite of mine. In fact, I can't remember the name of it now off hand. However, the second single, "On the Wrong Side" really go me going. It's probably, sound-wise the most Tusk-ish thing he's done since the Tusk album. Also the song came as a surprise to me, cuz I figured it was a cover of a song of the same name that was on the soundtrack to the film With Honors. Hood rats? Wow. Weird phrase to use there. What kind of people are you referring to there? |

What did you mean by "get well soon"? If you want to throw passive aggressive barbs all day long, you're the one who threw the first one. I hope you stop, but if you don't... well, that's on you. Have a nice day.

I must say, I'm really enjoying the soap opera of this thread! Be careful, sweetdudejim, or Homer will get you fired from the forum for 'smirking' or something...

Unrelated, I'd love to sit with Lindsey and watch a recording of 2018-19 show. I actually think that would be a lot of fun. The passive aggressive comments would be off the rails. |

Back when I had weekend "FM Pool parties"(like 6 Ledgies would come to my house for the weekend - and we'd jam FM all weekend long, and get drunker than monkeys), several of them were positive that "David" here is Lindsey.

That would be a really profound, organic re-cycled turn of events.
