Well, that's a compliment I guess. At least I hope.

The PM support I got, shows me who runs this place. The PM'r's didn't dare respond in public. And who can blame them? Certainly not I.
So here we probably go again...
Oh well. Like I said, I don't have a problem with you, and whoever else does, that's their right. I wouldnt want everyone to like me anyway. What fun is that? I hope you have a good day.

David, the deleted response had absolutely NOTHING to do with you. Only the "PC" powers that be... And I never said I didn't like you, ever. See, a critical comment apparently can't be made, without the assumption of dislike. There's not necessarily a correlation between my thinking that you post too much, and me disliking you(which is not the case).
Have a good one, David.

Here they come again, telling me what I'm allowed to say.......I'm avoiding using the hyphenated word I want.

You too. I didnt mean for that post to come across that way. You have every right to speak your mind. I have no problem with that

Obviously you weren't around on the FM newsgroup. Nepo was right when he recently visited here. By comparison, this place is fairly dull. About the closest thing I've seen to an all out flame war on here was the Amber-Lux thing a while back, and even then it was lame by comparison.

Just say what you want to say. If they don't like it, then they should note the mistletoe on your belt around your back pocket.

The fact that everybody else mentioned Minny Dave by name and said things like "it's obviously [Indy Dave] was talking about..." tells me that even the people who have chastised Indy Dave are being hypocritical. You too were obviously thinking the same thing, otherwise how would you have figured out so quickly who Indy Dave was referring to? I had a list of people, including myself, that I thought he could have been talking about. In other words, get off your high horse already. He just verbalized what YOU too were thinking.

What's especially funny, though, is that it wasn't personal in any way. Nowhere in the post that started the thread was there an assessment of character. Indy Dave was just talking about a behavior that he found annoying. Funnier still is that the perceived "protagonist" and "antagonist" don't have personal issues with each other. It's everybody else who seems to be drawing them into a bigger conflict than what actually exists. It's like two kids not really wanting to fight on a playground, and you people are egging them on. Before you go lecturing Indy Dave on why he should be ashamed of himself, look at your own behavior.

Well, I do want to thank those people that came to my defense. You're right on though with the comment about not wanting to take it further.

Uh, because he made it incredibly obvious? My apologies for being observant.

Sorry, Steve, but I don't think there's anything hypocritical here on my end, at least, and I was the first to mention David's name in the original thread.

What he posted could have applied to a lot of folks on various boards. Well, except the Peter Green and non-Rumours Mac boards.

That's very hypocritical. You can't name somebody by name and at the same time call somebody insensitive. It may have been obvious to you, but it might not have been obvious to everybody. You were insensitive for being uncryptic.

Apparently you were not around for the Ballad of the Arizona Ranger.

I'll have to try harder next time. At least I named names.

That's lame. What Homer did was the "pull the bandage off as slowly as possible" method of pain, and what Jyqm attempted to do was the "rip it off all at once" method, which, as everybody knows, is far less painful. And less passive aggressive pussy like, too.
