I don't need to look on Kerry's website either. You asked a question and I'm trying to inform you with facts that back up my opinion. Sorry if I can't keep that down to a monosyllabic five sentences or less.

Wrong. Electronic voting should be done away with permanently. It's the devil, IMO. It's so easy to hack into the machines and it doesn't help that there is no paper trail. Add to this the fact that the federal government is requiring certain minority groups to show ID and if they don't any, they refuse to give them paper ballots, which is against the law.

Then why did all the networks call the elcetion for him at first- until Fox reversed themselves when Bush's cousin John Ellis of Fox News told Fox to call it for Bush?

does that mean the networks were completely right but something changed? cause it couldnt've been that they got it wrong. not like it hasn't happened before.

I was just responding to your incorrect statement that Gore was never ahead.

touche' - but Gore certainly helped him get there by petitioning to recall only certain counties in Florida and then not asking the courts to develop a uniform standard in those counties. To quote Stevie "poor little fool . . . "

Which law is that? You have to have an ID to vote - that applies to everyone not just minorities I thought all states employed that law. If they apply it only to minorities, then yes, that most likely would not pass Constitutional muster. But, it is applied to everyone at least in Georgia and Lousiana because I am a white male and I have show my ID to get the ballot.

As for electronic voting, I think it should be both. I think the ballot should be entered in a computer. Then a paper receipt should be given and one kept. That way they could tabulate the votes with greater accuracy and apaper trail could be kept for an audit.

Well, it was close - I can see how the networks were confused. I think NM was closer however.

There's a good article in this weeks issue of The Nation that tells you all about it, I suggest reading it. I may be able to post a link to it, but you might not be able to read it unless you subscribe (I do, I don't know if you do.).
