Anyway, my movie is not a romantic movie but is my favorite movie and still has romantic moments....
All About Eve, when Gary Merril, as Bette Davis' boyfriend, resists the come ons of Eve, the young user, and even though Bette Davis has previously thrown horrible (and fabulous) jealous tirades, he gives a big speech about why he loves HER, diva behavior and all, and then they get married.

Sorry, but the idea of any guy having the hots for Bette in that film makes it science fiction for me. She's frighteningly un-sexy, IMO. Blast away.

But I do like her. Just wish she'd choose better films to make.

Duuuude...no, I don't watch Mad TV, sounds funny, though. I can't believe you dissed Bette. It's called charisma, watchability, brilliance, and wonderful scenery chewing. You know, like Stevie! Probably the same way some people think Stevie has a terrible voice. Also, BTW, that guy who played her BF, Gary Merrill, fell in love with her during filming and they were married for 10 years. That movie, as a whole, is very brilliantly written and acted, BTW. George Sanders is priceless. It got the most noms ever.(10?) for a long time. ok, movie geek moment over.

The nudity came off as more of an act of desperation to save her career than anything else and it backfired completely. Though the nudity can't be totally blamed (Mark Ruffalo ran around bare ass throughout the whole thing, too, and his career is on fire as of late), a lot of it had to do with her bad acting in it and the overall badness of the whole shebang. It was just bad. Read the book, don't see the movie. The movie is just porn with actual graphic closeups of oral sex.
