Default Fleetwood Mac, (The Band) What's Left?

What do you think will come after the Stevie tour if anything?

Buckingham/Nicks: I won't rule it out because I never thought we'd get Christine back. But these are slim chances.

Buck/Wood: I believe Lindsey and Mick do love each other. The chances of them doing something together is bigger, (in my mind).

NIcks/Wood: Does Mick even like her? I know $he rules him but when is enough enough?

Finn/Wood: This is possible too. But I'd rather (obviously) see Buck/Wood.

Fleetwood/McVie/Buck/Nicks: Memorial show for Christine McVie. John would need a bass to play.

I think Stevie will do another year of shows in 2024. Heaven forbid she should ever release an album of new music, which I thought was coming this year considering she released lyrics for her song about the overturning of Roe vs. Wade, she’ll tour that into 2025.

I didn’t think Lindsey would ever be on the same bill as Stevie again because it would project that the tour in 2018 was a mistake. However in his most recent interview Mick spoke of Lindsey as if he was still in the band, and in Stevie’s current tour, she has Lindsey on her screen 3 times: Stop Draggin, Gypsy, and Landslide (no photos of Neil, Billy Burnette, or Rick)
BUT
I think another FM Tour will happen, but I would probably say it would be Mick, John, Stevie, Neil, Mike, and Sheryl.

god, let them be DONE. Because it's over.

If I had to swallow anything, I'd take a Lindsey and Mick project, but I hope that doesn't even happen. Because it's over. Let it go. Stick a fork in it.

I feel like Mick might play on a few Lindsey solo tracks - maybe one might pay tribute to Christine - possibly John too? I think Stevie will do some sort of solo release next year, whether that's live album/rarities. I'd be pleasantly surprised if there was another album of 'new' songs. If she does this I feel like they might market it as 'the final studio album', like Sheryl did with Threads.
It doesn't feel likely that the four (John, Mick, Lindsey, Stevie) will record again. Which is sad.

I see Mick may possibly play on a Lindsey solo project thats about it. “Fleetwood Mac” is done. I don’t see Stevie releasing any “ New music” If she releases the Rhiannon project I hope the original recordings is whats used.

Move Neil over to keyboards and put Lindsey back in the band. Maybe add Colbie Caillat to sing Christine’s songs, given her familial association with Fleetwood Mac and Christine. Kind of like Derek Trucks in the Allman Bros. While I’d prefer Bonnie Raitt, I think she’d fall under the Steve Winwood category.

100% agree. They’ve been done before but now they’re DONE.

I sort of feel the same way. I'll throw all my stuff out! Except Christine stuff.

I agree Fleetwood Mac is done. For several reasons. But I'd like a memorial show for Christine McVie, not with the remaining members of the band, I mean not necessarily just with them. If them want to join, good for them, but the point would be with special guests, ala Freddie Mercury tribute show (I don't think it would fill Wembley but it would be a good show anyway, hoping there would be great performers).

About the other possibilities, frankly my dears I don't give a damn. They all are over to me. I tribute show would be the only thing I'd be interested in.

Fleetwood Mac is never done. There are many touring bands out there with only one remaining original member in them. I know we're all still mourning the great loss of Christine but the show must go on.

I think Mick is the thread that keeps them together. I see Lindsey and Mick working together, but I think John is done. Stevie and Mick will work together if she goes back into the studio which I doubt. I would love a Christine memorial concert and the band playing with special guests. That would be great. And a final farewell to all.

Just my opinion, but I think the best way of proceeding would be to make a final album using anything from LBCM sessions, new songs from Lindsey, new songs from Stevie. Do no more than 10 shows. Every show includes at least 8 Christine songs from her entire FM catalogue. If asked about 2018, just say we needed a break.

Will this happen? No. But I’d love it to.

This isn't Foghat. It's a group known for their FIVE personalities.

Yeah, idiots will still go to see the old goat, but they're truly dishonoring the legacy of the band, by carrying on as Fleetwood Nicks(or anyone else). It's over.

That’s the thing, though: the show must not need go ahead—and it shouldn’t. Those bands touring with only one original member are often sad unironic parodies of their past. Fleetwood Mac was already in this territory by 2017, but the return of Christine, the hope for new music, and the novelty of the ongoing LB/SN feud made the whole tour interesting…
