http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1qiPttaS_w I found it on YouTube there is definitely a slide guitar there that Tony isn't playing. It looks like he's miming and all the stuff I've ever read about it on Sabbath/Iommi site say he was.
I know The Who, Lennon & The Stones were all live performances. I just assumed Tull was too.

I'm pretty sure Ian's singing (and possibly flute? ) is live.

I guess! I love bigdogs. Bruno has a pretty, shiny coat.

I live in the heart of tornado alley. The highest wind speed ever recorded in history (316MPH) started as a thunderstorm over this town (Carnegie).

As it moved east towards Chickasha it turned into a F5 (And off the scale - 315 MPH is the highest speed the old scale could measure) sized tornado that was close to being a 1/2 mile wide.

Oklahoma City, believe it or not, actually has more windy days per year than Chicago and is actually the windiest city in the U.S..

When to moderate, what to moderate...it's not so cut and dry. Remember this is a board where the members call for a complete freedom of speech for everyone...except for Ethan...because he's annoying.

We are accused of "selectively enforcing the rules." For the record I don't belong to any group or clique that I can percieve, so I'm not sure who I would be "selecting." But here's some of those rules:

If all you have to add are harrassing, insulting, taunting, nasty remarks or name-calling, you'll be asked to go somewhere else.

Any statement that defames, abuses or threatens others

Material that advocates illegal activity or discusses illegal activities with the intent to commit them. This includes any threats including death or bodily harm

Material that contains vulgar, obscene or indecent language
Sexually explicit language, images or other content (pornography)

Imagine if we went after every post, and poster, that could fit into one of these categories. Aside from the immense amount of time and effort that would take, there's very few of you that wouldn't end up with warnings and strikes at the end of the day.

Perhaps that is how we should move forward. My hope, is that we go after the really egregious cases and kind of have faith that the rest of you are adult enough to handle the lesser cases. Either that or we intervene when someone asks us to or when someone seems to be ganged up on. Is that wrong? IDK, you tell me.

Perhaps we are guilty of sending out too many warnings and not enough strikes. Sometimes there are posters who have gotten a number of warnings from us in the past and then, when they finally get a strike or a ban, to the group it's percieved to be for a small infraction, when there has actually been a history of, for lack of a better word, "abuses."

(Please take my words at face value; they apply to people not involved in this case and don't apply to some who are.)

I really don't want this to become a novel, but I'm telling you that we do the best we can. No one wants this to be an unwelcoming place, for long-timers or newbies, and while there's been a lot of talk about what the mods have done wrong (and mods admitting and apologizing for those things) I see very little talk about personal responsibility on behalf of the rank and file. Something to think about, and I'm sure I'll be hearing from those of you who think I'm wrong. That's OK. We're just talking, here.
hey, I said very plainly-I took full responsibility for what I did. I knew what I was getting into and I paid the price. I'm not pissed at anyone, other than the situation itself. I think what people are failing to see here, is, it's not the fact the picture was asked to be removed. People keep harping on that, and I don't believe that to be the case. I can guarantee you (without even asking carrie) had suze or ryan or johnny stew (i'm only listing these, because they are the only mods I've really had any contact with) had asked...with 100% certainty, I'm sure it would have been removed, no problem. People see what they want to, but after so long, usually when there is smoke-there's fire not too far away. With that said, i have to be fair and say not long ago there was a misunderstanding between chris and I, and it was resolved quickly and she was nothing but respectful towards me. Within my first few weeks of joining the ledge, we had a rocky start, but I felt like all that was behind us and we could move on. But in recent weeks, I've seen the "power trip", if you will, along with the ice cold remarks to people. I'm not saying everyone has to be all smilies all the time, but damn. I just think this is something that was bound to happen sooner or later. Again, at this point I have no intention of leaving the ledge for good, but I'm not sure I can live with the "if a mod doesn't like something..buh bye" attitude. Because I can tell you right now...before I do something you don't like..i'll go ahead and say.."a-buh bye" right now. screw that ****.

on another note. Since we are all talking freely and there's really nothing left to lose-I would NEVER pick on a fellow ledgie (or anyone irl for that matter) just because they are "annoying" and you can take that to the bank. There are SEVERAL people on here who annoy the living piss out of me but I overlook their posts with ease. There are also people on here who I wouldnt' hand water to, if their **** were coming out of their ass on fire But I rarely strike without being stricken first (didn't we have the discussion about stricken? strucken?? Strokin'.. where the **** is carrie when you need grammar lessons ) So why is ethan any different? Because he's not some poor little frail soul who has no friends at school, so he has to come to the ledge and get bullied by the big mean "hijackers" who can't deal with authority Kiss my white ass-no He intentionally stirs **** up and waits for everyone to get in a fight, and probably laughs at the ones who actually believe he's genuine. It's sad really. If I thought any of it affected him, I would never do that. But he brings it on himself, and I believe intentionally. so whatever-fwi.

closing, I am just sick of how everything has played out. I wish it were different because I really miss my friends being on here and it makes me sad of all the good times-it's not going to be the same. Also I just cleaned out my damn pm box, FOR NOTHING But there are also still people on here who I adore and really look up to, hence the reason for staying. Just, as I've told others recently-I'm a creature of habit and I HATE change. I like my warm little comfy zone

anyway. there it is.
