Definitely it's not something he always does, but he has. And, I don't blame him, he's human - but it was discouraging / disappointing to me because that was the first time I had ever been at the stage for any show and for it to be FM and be in front of him was thrilling. But, I've had several more happier experiences since.

I went back and re-read the previous post to see if maybe I misread them and I don't think I am. I seems that there have been other threads prior to this one talking about the same thing and that it's been going on for a while now. Either way I don't think it matters, and I do respect your opinion on this matter, and I will admit I could be wrong. There's really no way we will know for sure what's going on unless someone from the band talks, and I don't see that happening. |

What? Do people REALLY believe that he b***s up over Stevie these days? Really? Lindsey's a member of Fleetwood Mac, but his member is part of manhood, and being a man his age and his status with a guitar strapped on leads to twenty somethings ogling over every note, and what's wrong with that??? Other than the money and the hotties, why would anybody want to spend THAT kind of time with their ex-old lady?

Now I know why I was allowed to stand in front of Lindsey.
I'm beautiful. Wait! I maybe hot, but not so young - and definitely not female. How did I pull that off? For the record, Lindsey was making goo-goo eyes at the chic standing by me for much of the show. |

I don't think they care very much about the looks of people who are being taken up front, as much as they are wanting a fun, party-like atmosphere. A lot of drinking, happy and loud "wooo!" people. Just my thoughts.

I think it's one thing to admire someone being attractive and taking a quick peak and another thing to feel entitled to gaze upon them just because you find them attractive. That's ignoring them as a person with feelings, and essentially, objectifying them. |

sorry but a 20 something year old woman having sex with a 60 year old man is pedophilia

Of course, I do think it's even worse when there is a large age difference between the pervert and his or her prey. It reminds me of the Seinfeld when George and Jerry lost the NBC job for staring at the executive's daughter. Jerry admonished him that 17-year old cleavage was off limits. Michele |

True. Checking out with a quick glance is one thing. I do that from time to time. It's staring regardless of person (age, gender, etc.) that's another. If there's a large age difference, even more so.
and Seinfeld, if we're talking of Fleetwood Mac connections, always brings me to Chris.

Thank you -- I should have stated that somewhere in my tangent.

That's so interesting and surprising. Although perhaps because she was a colleague, they saw her more as a peer/whole person, compared to movie stars who may have seen her in a more distant/disconnected way? In general, I can't help but wonder though if rock stars objectify the general woman more, considering the relationship between rock/music and groupies/prostitutes? Although I don't know enough about the Hollywood culture for actors to offer any argument.

Sexism is rampant everywhere, there's no going around it. Hollywood, rock and roll, heck even in other fields. People would care if a woman has a pretty face and body more than they would in a man.

At any rate, there are teenagers and twenty somethings at every concert who are clearly crazy about Lindsey (or Stevie), and make no effort to hide how they feel, so it goes both ways. And that's not unique to FM. It happens with most older rockers.
