I can't add much to all the great reviews everyone's already written on here, but to say I've just heard it the first time, and it's a complete home run, imo. Lyrics, sound, packaging, everything about this cd is just great. The only thing that seems out of sorts to me is "Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind" not being the opener, it always seemed like the logical opener for Gift of Screws. And yes, of course this is a different album, but it fits in just fine and is still one of my favorite Buckingham tracks ever.

This album is fantastic..... not a weak track on it for me. As a lyricist, he has grown leaps and bounds. I was impressed lyrically with his work on Say You Will/Gift of Screws, and continue to be so here....particularly on "Not Too Late" and "Under the Skin." I think the two covers are brilliant, and I often play the trio of "I am Waiting", "It Was You," and "To Try for the Sun" over and over.... a perfect threesome.

"Shut us Down" has never been my favorite (sorry, Gerald ), but it has grown on me here. I find myself singing it and "Show You How" randomly throughout the day. Simply, I could not be more pleased with this album.

[QUOTE=Keith;579033 I hear pieces of Buckingham Nicks and Tango in the Night. His shift into high gear as the song ends reminisces “Big Love.” And with lines like “the Gypsy Girl and I… we were only trying for the sun” makes you wonder if he is writing about those Buckingham Nicks days. [/QUOTE]

He might think of the BN days when he sings it, but he didn't write it.

Exclamation Can someone else...

confirm what I heard at the very end of "Flying Down Juniper", I hear one of Linds' lil' girls say clearly "Dad-dy" at the very end of the music (At the 4:39 mark)

Someone check this to make sure I am not imaging it, ok?

Yup it is there. Seems to be very happy about his family on this album.

Don't be sorry. It's a weird song. But the fact it's growing on you proves that if you're open for it, it'll turn out to be a goldmine. In a few months you'll agree with me. I'm sure. The place SUD has on the album fits so perfectly that everyone who likes the album as a whole will gain more love for this song. BTW: have I mentioned before that -imo- SUD is the best thing he ever recorded?

PS: Tusk is the best album ever recorded by anyone.

I completely agree about SUD's placement, and IMO, this is an album that one needs to digest holistically.
