That'll definitely work. I've lost an obscene amount of weight over the past year by avoiding fast food and drinking only water. I've been pretty slack about exercise, though, and the weight's still coming off. So I guess I'm lucky there.

The water bit really seems to help most people. I think many people's problem with it is that they just don't really love drinking water -- it bores them or it's bland. Whereas with me, although I hate the flavor of tap water & never drink it, I happen to love the flavor of distilled or purified water, & so I am able & willing to drink a gallon of it (or more) each day.

So if you're drinking a gallon of water, you don't have much in the way of thirst for other stuff like soda or tea. You just don't drink it.

I would say the only liquids I have drunk in the past year or so are purified water, orange juice & soy milk. (I should drink a little green tea occasionally.)

So what? No big.

I've always drank tons of water, no calorie sodas, rarely juice, lots of tea (no sugar or anything else) and soy milk.

I think it's only the answer when people drink tons of soda and juice. I mean, I'm not losing weight constantly with all my water consumption.

I'm the same way. All I drink is water and unsweetened iced tea. I think I just need to get back into exercising again. I don't mind power walking or jogging that much. I love food much more than I hate exercise, let's put it that way!

OK. I caved. I'm on lunch, and I brought my WW thing for today, but someone asked if I wanted one of those lucious fish sandwiches from the pub down the street. So, here I am eating a giant fish sandwich, pub fries, and cottage cheese.....
I guess you gotta give in sometimes.....

Congratulations my dear. Next time I see you I hope I can say the same. I am really tired this morning and trying to gather enough strength to go over and get on my treadmill. It's like four feet away from me.

You do. Don't feel bad. Enjoy the sandwich and try to work it off later.

Pedialyte isn't just for kids, either. When I was going through my health debacle last year, one doctor said that going on a "liquid only" diet, one that included Pedialyte, for four or five-day stretches a few times a year is good.

Had an umbilical hernia (part of my intestine was trying to escape through my navel)...during the operation to repair it (which was about a 3 on a 10 scale of "life threatening-ness")...as I was coming out of anesthesia, I couldn't breathe and I died on the table 3x's before they could get me intabated...they then discovered I had Pericarditis (2 litres of fluid was in the pericaridial sac surrounding my heart) and the massive amount of fluid had "paralized" my lungs while I was under anesthesia. It was only an acute case, since I've had no relapse of any fluid collecting in the sac since.

It was pretty scary times for everybody BUT me, I was oblivious to all that was going on. Thank you, Mr. Morphine.

I'm ok now, yeah...but I've finally come to the realization that my long hoped for NBA career is over, though.
