WOW!

I had heard through the grapevine on Tuesday that Anna was staying at the Hard Rock. This was of NO surprise to me, given that the past week I had run into Paris Hilton, Ashton Kutcher, and Prince (Yes, he spoke to us). I just kinda shrugged my shoulders when I heard her name on Tues, cause lately she's been quite a trainwreck.

The media is really going nuts with this story. I find especially scary that I was just there on Tuesday night. I didnt see her at the concert (I was being THREATENED by the person behind me for standing, but thats a story for the Stevie forum). I would not be surprised if she was there, though. I was supposed to be going there tonight to go drinking and clubbing, however, given the media circus, I think I will stick to the beach....

May she rest in peace, and a special prayer for her baby..

Perez Hilton is reporting that she was having cold/flu symptoms the last few days - and that she had a private nurse w/ her.

Yeah, where is Howard? This is just so bizaare!

I logged into MySpace, and this was all over my bulletins. I'm just.. shocked. I don't know what to say. I always liked her. She really was like a modern pinup.

May she rest in peace. My heart goes out to her little girl, as well.

Unhappy

What a shame. This is got to be one of the most tragic stories to ever unfold in Hollywood. Marriages, Lawsuits, Paternity Allegations, and now her death. What a sad story.

I don't think they need her DNA. They could probably just take a mouth swab from the baby and match it to Birkhead's DNA.

That's what the paramedic who was on the scene said on MSNBC. He said they tried to revive her but she was dead when they got there.

Rusty Hardin was interviewed on CNN and he pretty much alluded that as long as the 9th circuit rules in her favor her estate will get at least $88,000,000. He would not confirm how much money was in the Marshall family trust (Ha!) but did confirm that there was more than enough to cover that amount. There is a baby involved now. I think the award will come through.

Howard was never very far from her. I'm sure he's around there somewhere. Probably in hiding.

This is sad.

I'd bet my next paycheck that when they do the autopsy they will find a whole combo of pills that were all prescribed by doctors. Ultimately it is the patient's responsibility to not abuse prescription medication, but shouldn't the MDs be accountable in some way? When people die of overdoses of illegal drugs they always try to find and punish the dealer, so why doesn't the same hold true for some of these doctors? They too, are dealers at times.

It would probably assist if there was a national registry so physicians and pharmacists could look up doctor visits/prescripts. Often, those who abuse drugs will pay visits to a number of them. Of course, there are invasion of privacy issues. What is a life worth? I think health care networks and those state-run have access to information within their own health care facilities. Abusers are probably aware of that and choose their doctors wisely. But, look at Elvis and Taylor as an example, those doctors have no problem giving what an abuser wants/needs. Money talks.
