Default Taylor Swift channels Stevie..

Anyone else notice how Taylor Swift has been mimicking Stevie's 24k Gold vibe with her new album?

She's using that whole Polaroid, long-lost selfie thing in her promo pics:

I think she carefully planned all along to use Stevie as a role model for songwriting: the whole write about your exes thing and then you'll generate lots of press with everyone trying to figure out which guy each song is about.

I think as she goes more pop and less country she's gonna become more and more "Stevie-like". She's already going that direction

Just my opinion..

One thing I worry about Taylor is if she goes nuts and act like an ahole and be a trouble maker like some of these young artists have lately.

I have not seen her video so I dont know what to say about her Stevie moves.
Taylor temporary or permanently ditched country music for pop music which reminds me when Olivia Newton-John ditched country music to pop when Physical came out.

I wonder if Taylor will get hold of Stevie and do a retry on some tunes.Maybe Taylor did some practice with Rhiannon.

Actually, the first thing I thought of when I saw this:

Was this:

Vampire Weekend did the whole 1980-era polaroid as an album cover 4 full years before either Stevie or Taylor . Taylor has been living in New York for a while now, so she's no doubt picked up on that hipster culture. Polaroids, LPs, anything vintage- are all en vogue right now. Taylor is simply following a trend.

TSwift is annoying
and Stevie's polaroids are better.
was Swift even born in the 80s? no
her polaroids were probably taken on one of the pastel pink cameras released circa 2012

1989. My boyfriend is obsessed with her. She can't sing for sh!t, and she makes horrible "oh, gee whiz! I'm so surprised you like me!" faces.

In short, she's the worst

I agree ..so glad I grew up in a different time when the biggest lady star in music was someone by the name of Stevie Nicks.

Some of her country tunes are ok.She falls into the manufactured type singers category.

Not a true artist like Stevie and the rest of her generation and older.

Yes I'm old enough to be her pop.She could use a spanking at times.Oops.We cant do that no more...

I dont know what the big deal with her.Today's country music sounds like pop rock anyway.Just add more rock guitar to the mix.

I guess I wont be hearing her on the Grand Ole Opry no more.LOL...

I like Taylor... her music's fun, as far as I can tell she's got a sweet personality, and she's become very vocal about feminist issues and sexism in the music industry as of late. And, if you compare her to most of the other female pop stars her age, she's far more 'authentic' as far as music goes- she writes or co-writes all her own music (and by 'co-write' I don't mean that her name is last on a list of five to ten songwriters for every song on an album), and her music is not designed purely for commercial appeal (Katy Perry, anyone?) Oh, and she's pretty well-behaved as well... From what I can tell, a fun night for her involves baking cookies and writing songs and Instagramming videos of her extraordinarily cute cats.

I respect your opinion. but I disagree! This last album is pure pop. If pop isn't meant for purely commercial appeal, then what is? Shake It Off is extremely lazy. Play play play play play, hate hate hate hate hate, shake shake shake shake shake, break break break break break, fake fake fake fake fake, shake shake shake shake shake.

And, I'm just gonna leave this here. Feel free to watch the entire video, or skip to 2:08.

In other news, has anyone heard Vampire Weekend's cover of Everywhere? Highly recommended, I love them.
