I love this -

"I'm used to bands where we argue over how to do the song. These Nashville guys just say 'Yes ma'am.'"

Edit:

Also, very excited for that Bennet/Gaga duets album. People will be suprised she can sing? Haha, I don't think anyone who has actually listend to her will be surprised. Gaga has pipes, man. Girl can sang.

I've been a subscriber to Rolling Stone since 1981! I was expecting to see something about her in the magazine sooner than later. I hope her new album is so successful that she makes the cover again; it's long overdue.

It's very disconcerting for me to look at the magazine's album charts now, and not recognizing 90% of the artists. My tastes are mostly old school; and I was even a decade behind my own generation, obsessed with artists/music from the sixties.

With a long and wide perspective, I realize that a lot of current artists (and their music) are just modern iterations of past generations. As such, I'm super selective when it comes to welcoming new artists to my immense collection of music.

I can't describe the variables that catch me. But when someone/some band does, I mate for life; I'm a completest, and spend a lot of time and money gathering everything they've done and do. My list is long, spanning five decades, so it's not so surprising that that I have many large cabinets packed with music.

There it is again! 17 tracks not 16. What could that other track be and will we ever hear it?

It as just as likely that Stevie is miscounting ..she has done it before. It seems like "Lady " is going to be the centerpiece of the album since that is the one song she discusses.

Thanks for sharing! So I guess Stevie doesn't know that "Lady" (Knocking On Doors) has been on youtube for years?!
Not that private after all.

Unless -- and I'm not meaning to start a rumor here -- there's a Best Buy special edition, with another bonus song?

I can see one of the Oct. or Nov. RS covers now, "Still the Reigning Queen of Rock'n Roll and Her Magic Kingdom."

I wish, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. They had Katy Perry on the cover - who hasn't had a new album out since last year - with Tom Petty as the secondary headline the week Hypnotic Eye came out. It's all about sales - both physical sales and what ad sales the cover star will pull in.
