More thought and production would of went into it if it were a true Fleetwood Mac album. It's her fault. They are just releasing what they have instead of putting more work into it. And who can forgive for Extended Play? Her vocals on Without You were hideous. She didn't even try. Lindsey couldn't even save it and now t was a good song.

FM is dead. The Buckingham McVie album is the final scary shudder.

I agree about Without You it is unlistenable .Feel About You is just a tuneless lyrically lame dud of a song and nothing could have salvaged it. If it is the second best song on the album then I 'll take the album she left town to make 24KG anyday.

i really don't understand this argument. why would being a legendary act who seemingly has nothing new to say be "wise"? it just means that's what you chose to do, while others chose to keep creating. whether what they create is good, amazing, or it sucks does not negate the fact that they are legendary singer-songrwriters, who still feel the need to create new music.

they all should by now be well above any worries of stopping themsleves from creating or releasing new stuff because it might not be as good or as commercial as the music that made them legendary in the first place. if they want to create and release new music, more power to them!

same as if Stevie wants to just tour, and if she wants to tour deep cuts, more power to her! she didn't care there were people at her shows who were yelling to stop talking, or that they didn't know the songs, she went ahead and did what she wanted to do. and her fans more than appreciated that. same as most FM. Lindsey and Christine fans appreciate the two of them satisfying their creating urges and releasing and touring new music. posts like the one above seem to really want them not to (it's just the one of several posts i've seen and i don't mean to pick on you personally ), and i just don't get that.

Maybe it is all for the better. After all she probably heard the direction things were going with the stuff that is ending up on this Buck n' McVie album. And wisely passed on participating.

If the artist can no longer distinguish between quality music and silly kitsch then yes they should stop "creating "it rather than tarnish their legacy.

Oh bull! She probably never even heard it. She didn't want to record another album with them for her own selfish reasons. You're just trying to come up with excuses for the hag.

but that's exactly what i can't fathom - why are you all so worried about "tarnishing their legacy"? their legacy is safe, so no need to worry, whether or not you or i like their new (or old!) songs.

i think many people would call a lot of their previous stuff "silly kitsch" too. i certainly did when i first heard their GH album back in early 90s, without being familiar with their stuff. or every time when i had to listen to 7W live on their last tour.

After hearing 24K, I wouldn't be too happy Mitzo. It's not like she's over there makin good music. Her voice on some of those are hideous.

set me free set me free!

Well maybe you're right about their legacy .The Time album didn't seem to impact it much because almost nobody heard it. Since the new album doesn't even bear the Fleetwood Mac name most people might not notice it either.

let's face it - White Album, Rumours, Tusk, couple of Mirage hits and Christine's hits from Tango are their legaacy. whether we like it or not. whether they have new stuff under the name of FM and whether or not people hear it. the Rolling Stones have tons of new stuff under their name, and most people don't register or care about it or whether it's any good. of course RS released tons more stuff than FM in the first place but let's not go there.

That about sums it up actually.

AND the dance; that was a genuine moment

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Ding ding ding. Their legacy is White Album to Tango in the Night and The Dance. For hardcore fans it's different obviously but in general, no one cares about BTM or Time or Say You Will or the EP.
