Default Christines place of birth

Now I hail from Cumbria in England and since ive been alive on this earth, there has always been a rumour that Christine was born in a village just a few miles from where I am now named Greenodd.
Now ive read many things over the internet saying she was born in as many places as Birmingham, London and even Newcastle.

The other day I went to the supposed house that she lived in as my fathers workmate lives there.

I was just wondering if anyone can guarentee me, that she is from Greenodd.

Just so I can say, Ive been in her old house

thanks in advance

Wikipedia has it as Bouth in Cumbria but I'm not sure that's true. I don't think that's too far fron Greenodd judging by my map but you would know better than me.

It's definately not Birmingham or London or Newcastle.

Here's an old article in the Blue Letter Archives. It says that she was born in the Lake District. I don't live in England, so I don't know anything about the Lake District. It also says that she moved from there to Nottingham, then to Birmingham.

Well thank you both for the replies

Bouth is in fact just a short distance from Greenodd, if not basically borderlined with it.
They are both in the Lake District.

Cheers

thanks for the article. I had read it before but it was good to read it again. I like the bit about her saying they had "given up their boozing" - I dont think so

Greenodd is on the edge of the Lake District so I think we can take it that she was born in or around there

No I'm way down south in Southampton. Although I was born in Derbyshire (New Mills) and lived there until I was about six then we moved to south Manchester (near Stockport) and then somehow the whole family ended up on the south coast about 25 years ago.

So, did you go into a house that they said used to belong to Christine's family?

Wait a minute. Don't we have a member who states they are the only Fleetwood Mac fan in Cumbria? Since I never heard of Cumbria I just thought it was a tiny country in South America or somewhere!

Well it's nearly in South America - just the small matter of the Atlantic Ocean in the way
