You see, I'm not gonna broadly say no covers. Just no I Need to Know and absolutely no Rock and Roll.her random covers are just as good as new songs to me. In fact I've seen people here even praise other artists for their set lists and many times these artists play tons of covers per tour. Tom Petty is the first thing that comes to my mind. Yet stevie always gets blasted for playing covers. I think the short lived spontaneous performances of Circle Dance and Face the Promise were some of the best set lists decisions ever. Talk about unexpected. And unless you are also a die hard bob Seger fan how was face the promise not the same experience as her playing gold and braid in 1981? So I would not be disappointed at all with an out of left field cover taking the precious space of one of her own songs, as long as it provides a great live stevie experience. But this is excluding rock and roll and I need to know.
