That stinks.

I've got one day to decide.

Do a backup before updating if you decide to go for it, you still have time.

There has got to be a way to get back what you can't find. Bring it to a computer repair shop. Also, I back up everything to many different sources. We can never count on any of these devices lasting forever, unfortunately. Very recently I accidentally deleted all my Bella Donna files off one of the backups and then laughed knowing I had the same pics on other backups.

Yeah, today I brought it to an informatic engineer, I hope he'll find them. Among the things I didn't have the time to back up were some rare bootlegs. He said the files might have been overwritten.

Not yet. I gave him the computer yesterday afternoon and he said he'd look at it in the evening and that probably it would take hours. Then today starts the week-end so probably I won't hear from him until Monday evening.
They said 'update to Windows 10, it's free and totally safe'!

That's too bad. I'd suggest not killing though.

If the postage wasn't so cost prohibitive we could
trade some Worthington's for a little of your family's
wine.

I am sooo sorry to hear this and so grateful I ignored the constant requests to change from 7 to 10.

Nice thought, but my father's wine is completely preservatives-free and I doubt it would survive the journey. And I don't like beer. But If you ever come on holiday in Italy I'd be glad to give you a treat.

Thanks. And you did well, Windows 10 isn't that much anyway, with the constant notifications and listing the files that you opened for last.
At last they used another software to find lost and canceled files and at least I found some pictures and documents. But all that remains of my beloved bootlegs are the icons. ****.

Wine and real Italian food - I'm there!

I'll check the QM2's schedule.

This place is really a graveyard now.

Guess it's time to find a younger band.
