Default Countdown

Countdown would have been a major hit if it was released on Tango in the Night as a Fleetwood Mac song. I love Big Love (studio version) but if Countdown was released it would have been amazing as the first single. Great song with the Fleetwood Mac vibe. Stevie and Christine (bababa)

Quite possibly. It's sure catchy. Remember how Lindsey and his band played it on David Letterman?

I go further. I imagine Lindsey never left the band, obviously OOTC and BTM were never produced and the FM album following album (~1990) contains some songs from it (Countdown, Soul Drifter, maybe Don't Look Down) and some Christine and Stevie songs from BTM.

Some ledgie wrote OOTC was released in not a good year, because music tastes were changing. And since the early 90s were very bad years for Stevie, her collaboration wouldn't be enough good. All that makes me think it would not be as succesful as the previous Fleetwood Mac albums, but I guess it would do it good anyway.

They were dated, dinosaur rock at that time. There wasn't room for them on the radio dial.

And finally, absence makes the heart grow fonder.

It's a great song. I'd love to hear the 3 on it.

As I look back….IF, there was no solo projects, Lindsey never left the band in 87 and pick the solo hits from Stevie and Lindsey and Christine’s solo tracks and we had Fleetwood Mac releases in 1984, 1990, 1992 and 1994 they still would (IMO) have been current at the time.( and Stevie’s health wasn’t an issue) IF ONLY!

And not bride of Frankenstein, either.

That WALL of hair is half the reason people make fun of him...

Probably. I think those 90s albums would do it fine, but not as good as the 70s albums. I guess their tours would always have done great.

Like Queen albums in the 80s, they were fine but their tours were always great.

yes, and fire whoever is putting that awful red lipstick on him in recent publicity photos. And the foundation/blush....

I can't help but wonder if he got some sort of eye lift or tuck or something because frankly his eyes appear noticeably smaller to me in recent years and not a lot of crow's feet etc.....

And the hair is fine for his daily life but again in publicity photos, you're right more coiffed hair would really show off his looks.

Also I thought his look in that clip highlighted how much his son resembles him.

The video also reminded me how socially awkward he can be (I actually thought for him he was pretty good in that clip). Having dealt with it with a family member for a number of years now I feel Lindsey may well be neurodivergent. That doesn't necessarily mean autism specifically, can be things like ADD, ADHD etc. He has all the hallmarks-- hyper focus, social awkwardness, highly creative, anxiety, etc etc... Welcome to the club Linds!

Default Tango in the Night versus Out of the Cradle

I think the opposite. Tango started as a solo album, converted to an FM album to help Mick financially. Imagine Out of the Cradle with the songs Big Love and Tango in the Night.
