Question 1998 Brits Performance

Hi everyone: I was just wondering, since it's the 2007 Brits Show tonight, whether anybody has the Mac's 1998 performance to view online?

I know it's a bit obscure, but I have not seen it since the broadcast (when I didn't like the band and was watching it with my mum, asking her 'who that silly woman in the weird dress and banging the tambourine' was -- ahh the ignorance of youth!)

Thanks.

I have it but I think it's on VHS. Let me look around and see if I have it on DVD.

I think they did the same as the Grammys:

Rhiannon
Go Your own Way
Don't Stop

I think you might be right Gail -- I read in the paper that they played three or four songs -- though I seem to remember that the TV version was shorter as I thought they only showed Don't Stop and GYOW.

No, it wasn't the same as the Grammy performance, which was a medley. They did "Go Your Own Way" & "Don't Stop". They played the entire songs. I don't know if they played any additional songs, but all I have on video tape are those 2 songs plus the introduction by George Martin. Chris even gave a short little thank you speech! There were also 2 interviews with Mick & Lindsey. I taped it off ABC. I'd love to post it, but I don't have any way to transfer it to DVD & I don't have a DVD burner. By the way, unlike that "Silver Springs" performance in Germany, the Brit Award performances were live. They were NOT lip synched.

If anyone has this in a digital format, please post it if possible. I'd love to get in a digital format.

Yes, I remember seeing this. They really jammed away on "Don't Stop"--and the audience seemed pretty drunk...

I was especially impressed with Christine's speech at the end. Stevie stood next to her and also gave a heartfelt thanks.

I've posted a rather shaky recording on the google video site
- http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?...44831&hl=en-GB

THis was ripped direct from my original VHS recorded and converted to MPEG1, I could not post this on YouTube as the length and file size exceeded YouTube's maximum. Included is the opening montage, George Martin Introduction, Fleetwood Mac acceptance and then performance of Go Your Own Way and Don't Stop.

enjoy..........

I remember watching this and being surprised to see Stevie and Lindsey walk out holding hands.

Weird to think it is the last performance, live, of the full Rumours lineup.

The audience was definitely, um, somewhat inebriated. Plus, the Deputy Prime Minister was there and got a bucket of water thrown over him by some anarchists! Also, in that video you can see Tony Blair's wife, laughing -- although not, presumably, laughing after the water incident.

Was this Christine's last performance with Fleetwood Mac?
