TV picks for April 28: Lindsey Buckingham, Mayweather/Pacquiao, 'Last Days of Vietnam'

What’s the frequency, Lindsey?

Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham and news veteran Dan Rather should make for an odd couple on “The Big Interview,” which will focus on the rock star’s personal life and esteemed career. 7 p.m. AXS TV
I'm a few days late to the game, but very clever elle! I assume only a fraction of the Ledgies here caught the REM reference. Was this your quote, your frequency?

It was a reference to Dan Rather saying some people accosted him and said, "What's the frequency, Kenneth" to him. It was one of the first things that made the public begin to think of Dan Rather as wacky.

for anyone who doesn't have AXStv (or does but wants download anyway), you can buy LB interview for $2 here - http://www.axs.tv/buy-axs-tv-program...erview-online/

Thank you so much for this download link! I don't have AXStv and really want to see this.

If Skip was a LB fan we would have had this in our collections already.

his assertion may have been that not only is he now happy and settled, but also that unlike in the past, he has learned how to channel any frustration he may have into something constructive.
I thought he handled the question with honesty, tact and personal insight. It was just an interview, not a inquisition.

I get it now. It was Dan who was making the somewhat vague 1990s' REM reference. I forgot he said that in passing.

no, no. it was the author of that article who i guess was making both a reference to what happened to Dan Rather and REM song - since it was DR interviewing a songwriter.

yes, i was glad the question was asked, and that he answered it. i thought that and the pot question were the most interesting / different than usual parts of the interview.

The REM song is based on what happened to Dan Rather. The Dan Rather incident happened 8 years before that song came out. In the eighties, Dan says these two men attacked him and kept saying, "Kenneth what is the frequency." People thought Dan was cuckoo and REM made a song about what happened to Dan Rather, 8 years later.
