Question Bob Welch

Please help me to get Bob Welch in the RRHoF. He played on more records and was in the band even longer than Peter Green. He still has more radio airplay 40 years later from that era than any other member and wrote more songs and did more albums than Kirwin and Spencer who were also inducted. Please fight with me to give him his rightful place in the Hall of Fame, which he was so vindictively left out of. It was wrong! Please help. It meant so much to him and it's the one thing I will keep fighting for.

I am amazed that FM has not stated publicly with all their publicity on this tour that they know he should have been inducted. They could at least do a small memorial to him in concert. As Mick Fleetwood said in his book, "BOB Welch Saved Fleetwood Mac". Let's not forget his legacy. I pray that you care enough to help Bob get his rightful legacy with FM.

Question

Is there a campaign or petition going that we can sign? How do we help you do this Wendy?

This may not be the place to ask such a n00bish question, so sorry in advance. But why wasn't Bob Welch inducted with the band in the first place? I just took it for granted that the RaRHoF is a pretty dopey institution altogether and they really only cared about the more commercially important eras of the band. Is there more to it than that?

He was always one of my favourite members, and I'd love to see him get credit where it's due.

The following thread is the most recent in a number of threads that would answer your question--and then some. http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showth...ht=welch+rrhof

My Little Demon is right: what are some specific ways in which we can help Wendy right the wrong?

Default Bob/RRHoF

You can write the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, you can post on all the Fleetwood Mac websites, there is a petition on facebook called "Induct Bob Welch" and you can go to my facebook page Wendy Welch.1232.

All the Welch Warriors (which they named themselves) and many Fleetwood Mac Fans are working hard to see that Bob is inducted.

Evidently, so says Mick's management, Mick and John wrote one of the members of the RRHOF board that works at CAA that he should be inducted, but it was a very disappointing letter. And they would not send me a copy or give me the name so I could write.

They still have not stated publicly that he should be inducted!!! What's wrong with this picture.

Also, the board evidently does not meet again until September. Mick Fleetwood told me this was being handled last July when they met in September, but NOT!
I have been shined on for so long and they are counting on the fans to give up and become bored with it and make it old news. Please, please stay on it for the next 4 months and let them know you have not forgotten Bob. I have to do this for him. I love him so much and he deserved it.

I was told that the RRHof picked the band and the band picked the members. I was also told, whether it was true or not, that if Bob was inducted Christine would not go on stage because she was so vindictive about the lawsuit. But that is not right to take a person's deserved history and legacy away from Bob. Mick also told me that "it was not a matter of if, but when Bob would be inducted" , but now doesn't return my emails. He and John McVie own the name Fleetwood Mac and cared more about Christine showing up than Bob getting his due legacy. They need to right this wrong!

Default Bob Welch

Thanks to those that posted the original link for the petition, but the company that allowed the petition was sold and the petition originator was unable to secure any of the data.

A new petition was created and placed on change.org and is the main, and only, petition of any use for Wendy and those of us working toward getting Bob his rightful induction into the RRHoF.

The link for the petition is:

http://www.change.org/petitions/the-...s_dialog_false

I am not sure if I posted that correctly (sorry this is my first post here) but you should be able to copy and past that into your browser if I didn't actually create the link.

I am one of the admin on the FB page for 'Let's Get Bob Welch Inducted Into The Rock&Roll Hall of Fame' located at:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/BobW...ocation=stream
(I didn't try to create the link that time since it is short and easy to copy and paste).

We would certainly appreciate it if any fans of Bob would sign the petition and would certainly enjoy having you join the group on FB.

The RRHoF committee will meet sometime in September and we have every intention of escalating our efforts starting in July in an attempt to influence the committee members to rectify this situation.

Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for the opportunity to reach out to any of Bob's fans here.
