Default Rhiannon live tour request

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a good quality live version of Rhiannon from the:
Tango in the Night tour
Timespace Tour
TISL Tour

I don't have any from those tours, so would be very thankful if you could share one with me!

-Nailatixela

I'm not sure what section this should go in - sorry. Feel free to move this to the stevie section if it seems more fitting there.

There's no RHIANNON from that tour.

Oh ok - thanks for letting me know. I'll take that off the list. That's interesting that she didn't sing it then. Wonder why?

Mick wouldn't let her and she was doing one of her most creative sets.

Is that really why? That doesn't make sense. It's HER song. At the end of Mick's book he writes, "although she doesn't let us play 'Rhiannon' anymore." And I remember in an interview at the time that she said "it wouldn't be fair to burn her out...so we do it on one tour and not the next."

So, I think it was her decision.

During, I think, the first encore of the Dallas TOSOTM show, she sang "Rhiannon rings like a bell through the night . . . ." and maybe a little more of the song a capella. But, that was it. She then said something like "She's not here tonight" and then laughed. She seemingly was high as a kite. Does anyone have an audio of that show. As an aside, Sheila E was there and went on stage. Her brother Michael Escapito (sp.?) was Stevie's bongo player.

I find it very hard to believe Mick stopped Stevie from paying Rhiannon. What is the source for that? If I'm wrong, I's wrong though.

That does seem interesting mick didn't let her play it. I know she played it next year, on the BTM tour though.

Anyone have any rhiannons from the other tours up there to share?

Undoubtedly it was. Find some interview around that time where she says that she had decided to give the song a rest specifically because Fleetwood Mac was going to do it the next time out (i.e., 1990).

At Shoreline, right before encore someone in the crowd yells for Rhiannon, & Stevie sings a line or two. Not a big deal. You can see it in the pro video.

There is no source. I'm sure she makes her own set decisions (aside from discussions with her band).

Mick couldn't stop Stevie from playing the song anyway, even if he'd wanted to, which he probably never did. Using FM's recording of Silver Spring is one thing. You can't stop someone from singing a song live in concert.
