Default Get Like You Used To Be Live 1972

This is a whole concert. But, I really love GLYUTB around 17:20. You can even hear the call letters the KISW Seattle.

This was one of her in-between versions. She upped the tempo from the original, decided to sing it alone (as opposed to with Danny, which she did on earlier tours), and used her Honer to good honky-tonk effect. But my favorite versions of this are from the 75 shows, when she uses portable piano and her voice is perfection.

Her playing on that Seattle 1972 show is impressive.

Too bad - and too sad - that she never got round to recording that blues album that had been talked about some years ago. I had hoped that one would really happen. There you go.

I waited decades, I mean DECADES, for that.

She had been threatening a blues album since the early 80s. I would have loved to hear her in her advanced years doing one with just a piano and light bass and drum accompaniment.

While not a blues album, her last public performance was singing “Stop Messin’ Round” with Mick and Rick, which kind of counts.

While Fleetwood Mac might not have gotten a grand send off, it’s comforting to me that what turned out to be Christine’s farewell was a joyous, grand celebration and she got to play a song she loved.
