Christine looks so beautiful here.
I remember watching this on TV. At 13 I was very mad. I just wanted Stevie to be nominated in this category and win so she could go on stage with Chris. This was for pop vocal which she was not nominated. But I think Stevie was nominated for best rock female but lost to Pat Benatar

I remember thinking it was rigged because Irene Cara had just finished performing What A Feeling and was waiting on the side of the stage during the announcement. I thought it was no coincidence LOL

Both those Grammy clips were from 1984, not 1983.
Just FYI.

Yes the actual show and video is from 1984
But the show is honoring 1983 artists. Irene Cara from Flashdance was a #1 song in mid 1983

I have never liked Christine's mid 80s look. She looked good during Tusk and Mirage but like 1984-1985 I did not like that hair style. She looks really good during the Tango era though, particularly the Seven Wonders music video. She should have just skipped to that look in 1983.

I think she looks good here but I agree with you. Her 1984 look was not her best. She is so beautiful though. But I also hated Stevie's look from the mid 80's too. Stevie's Tango cut always looked weird to me....a puffy top with straight hair on the sides then curly at the bottom again
