Default If Stevie covered "Imaginary Lover"

....it would sound like this. Have you guys heard this? It's a trip! I've always liked this song.

Pretty sure Stevie would never cover a song like this as the lyrics aren't her style. But it would sound pretty good!

This is actually pretty good! It really sounds like her on the word "lover". I think it would be interesting for someone to do this with a song like Heart's These Dreams, a song originally offered to Stevie.

this was a thing back at the time. if you played the Imaginary Lover at 45 instead of 33 1/3 (album speed) this is what it sounded like.

She was even asked about it at the time and said that she'd heard it and agreed.

Here's a Rolling Stone piece about it at the time in
1978:

Yes, I was just about to post the same thing, Bombay. The speeded up version sounds even more like Stevie. In the late 1970s, my older brothers had a K-Tel's Songs of Summer album, or something like that, and they would play the 33 on 45 speed.

Wish somebody had a link to THAT!

here's what it's like with the real vinyl at different speeds....versus the other ones that were digitally changed so the music isn't sped up.
