Default Fun Earthquake Quiz

Here's a fun earthquake quiz from Florida International University:

www.uh.edu/~jbutler/physical/chap18mult.html

47 questions in all, each one a "shear" unadulterated joy!

Click the correct radial button, & your score will be generated at the end of the quiz.

No. 8 confused me greatly because I assumed that, the further you get from the quake origin, the greater the distance between P & S waves grows (because P waves travel faster).

No. 26 is slightly confusing too. Doesn't the up/down first motion depend on where you are with respect to the fault zone? Couldn't the diagram in 26 also be a reverse fault?

But most of the quiz is fun!

Hooray, I got 9 of 10. I missed the one about "Lovin' You" by Minnie Ripperton. I've never heard of her.. and I don't like ballads anyway. :P

This one is pretty good too. I guess I'm not as much of a fan as I thought.

I got 9 out of 10. I missed the 'Average White Band' question. I loved this, because in 1975 I was 5 years old and just starting to realize the music around me. Many of these songs were owned by my brothers and sisters on vinyl (or 8-track). And, I remember their top 40 airplay too- especially the Minnie Ripperton tune:
"Lovvvvvving yoooooo, is easy 'cuz your byoo-tiful, dooten doo doo doo, aaaaaaaaaahhh..."
