Oh, jeez I'm striking out on this. I don't have this one either . . . yet. Come on, ask about one that I have.

Well, this is definitely a tough one for me. My favorite is Sara, but I think the best might be Walk A Thin Line.

I agree- I admire the way Lindsey was able to meld the three voices for the "ooh-aahs" (as shown in the Tusk documentary). I've really grown to appreciate Lindsey's songs on Tusk, and now they're some of my favorites from all of his FM work. Of course, Sara is perfection to me. As far as Christine's songs go, I feel like they're so underrated on this album! I do think Brown Eyes wins best song, but Never Forget, Over My Head, and Think About me are ALL amazing, yet so different from one another.

While I LOVE "Brown Eyes", I'd have to "Angel"....it's one of my all-time favorite FM songs...

OK, apart from my favorite Stevie songs that I mentioned yesterday, my favorite Lindsey songs are IKINW and Tusk.
As for Christine's, I like Brown Eyes a lot, and (don't flame me!) if it weren't for all the "cha la la", it would probably be my favorite Christine song (apart from You make loving fun). |

Everyone has listed great songs, but I can't believe no one has said the title track yet!
TUSK is my favorite song on Tusk. It's entirely original. Nothing like it in the FM catalog--or in popular rock in general. hearing it always gets me revved up. runner up: Stevie's "Angel." |

I would have to say that it is a toss up between Sara and Beautful Child or Storms. Stevie's Vocals are top notch. Sometimes late at night when I can't sleep I play Tusk on Vinyl and when Storms plays it sounds so haunting and chilling.

The best song on Tusk is "Tusk". Stevie's best is "Sara". Coincidence that those were their two most esoteric hits. I think my favorite Chris song is "Honey Hi" but I'm not sure if it's her best.
Tusk has a dozen standouts and a good half dozen are masterpieces. Last edited by redbird; 03-06-2013 at 11:39 AM.. |
