I know in an earlier post I mentioned these 2 songs, but really for me, Vincent and Castles In The Air by Don McLean are 2 of the greatest pieces of rock and roll poetry that I have ever heard. I am not a fan of American Pie at all, but the other 2 I can literally listen to 1000 times in a row and NEVER get tired of hearing Don's singing!

Yeah, I'm not too hip with the version on the first Little Feat album, but the version they did on Sailin' Shoes is the version Linda pretty much copied verbatim.

Ok I know I'm going to sound like a complete fossil when I admit this, but I also love some 50's ans 60's stuff too. my favorite song from that era that I remember my mother playing for me when I was a a 4 year old was:
