Last night while surfing I found an interview with the band by Rick McGrath from 1971. You can read the interview at http://www.rickmcgrath.com/fleetwoodmac.html. Interestingly, Rick has a comment before the transcript of the interview starts:

One sidebar: I distinctly remember Mick telling me that John McVie had only one kidney... for some reason, that nugget of rock trivia never made it into the printed interview.
